I'm kinda familiar with the goings on in Hasbro--and the top of the toy/game industry overall.

I've been working with toy and game designers over the years, and I put out my own content under the current OGL.
My first take is that the OGL 1.1 isn't that bad. The intent is decent--yes, they are trying to leverage money--but I think the focus is more on efficiency, than revenue. They simply don't want to spend time negotiating "small licenses" now that they're pursuing movie deals for D&D content.
