I'm curious if the cards are thermally or magnetically reactive. Would allow a shift from red to blue and back and also to black to "disappear" on the table.

But the cut card and cards to coins part, with no sleeves to hide stuff in...? Possibly traps within the tale top that feed the coins into his hand allowing him to spread the coins?

The vest may also be a thermal or magnetic thing.

Doesn't matter the mechanism, it's just flat out incredible dexterity, timing and talent.
