"You know me and you know I support expanding the rights of gays to adopt, have spousal benefits, all the things we have. When it comes to marriage, it's not that I won't recognize a same sex couple as being entitled to those rights, but I do not want it called marriage. It just doesn't feel right because no matter what anyone wants to argue, a same sex couple is not the same as a mixed-gender couple. This doesn't come down to anything my church has told me or anything a politician has told me. It just doesn't feel right to me."
