10) 7 Short films - D - (they ranged from horrible to "good". I'm really shocked that these were the best short films Sundance received.)
9) A Still Small Voice - D+ - A documentary that was supposed to be about hospital chaplains helping people at the end of their lives, but really ends up being a weird workplace relationship drama. Such a missed opportunity.
8) Animalia - D+ - An boring alien invasion movie that didn't explain the world created, and the plot was a mess.
7) Pod Generation - C - It had some interesting technology, and nice performances, but really faltered in the second half.
6) Pretty Baby - Brooke Shields documentary - B - It's a standard documentary/biography, but her life is interesting enough to make it worthwhile.
5) Kim's Video - B+ - This is the craziest documentary I've ever seen. If you go in knowing nothing, you're in for a wild ride. The subject of the film was sitting next to me in the screening, and I had no idea!
4) Birth/Rebirth - A- - Innovative Frankenstein-ish thriller that's expertly made. This one could become a cult film.
3) Radical - A- - I'm a sucker for true life inspirational teacher films. If you loved Stand and Deliver, you'll love this.
2) I Am Everything (Little Richard documentary) - A - Little Richard's greatness and contradictions are all there. It shows him as a flawed but inspirational man.
1) Past Lives - A - This is the most subtly innovative romantic comedy (maybe more romance with a hint of comedy) I think I've ever seen. Celine Song wrote and directed a beautiful movie. Greta Lee is spectacular!
