not for not charting. just for not keeping up with the times the way he had been doing effortlessly for the first 20 years of his career -- (edited)

and that's not personal to him. it happens to most big acts after they've achieved a certain level of success, for whatever reason. doesn't take away from his first 20 years but just makes you wish there had been better swings in the last 30
