He and his wife love the car - they also have a prius.

Repair-wise it's been great and they've had zero issues mechanically with the car - they bought it used ~ 5 years ago

He's not too worried about the battery he has but noted that the newer Leafs have a much greater range than his car does.

In terms of that range, he says he currently gets about 60 miles (96ish km) per charge - which is a bit less than when he bought it but not outrageously so.

Weather-wise I think here is comparable to you so the cold weather temps should be about the same there as here.

He's left for the day, but if you have any questions about the car I can ask him tomorrow for you.
