I happen to like BJ Novak despite of / because of he seems like a smug asshole but has done some interesting things post-Office. Man was it satisfying seeing him brought to heel by Coach Beard. It was clear BJ assumed he would be the smartest person playing that day. What I found most telling is that every answer BJ knew so did Beard, and he had mastered the button. But on questions that Beard did not know, neither did BJ.
Also it was highly amusing to see BJ employ the "hunt for daily doubles" strategy but for Beard to get all those more difficult questions correct.
