Still play Halo 5 every weekend with my brother. When I play alone, I'm a killer, generally coming out on top regardless of whether my team wins or not. When I play with my brother, I end up near the bottom, well below him (he usually ranks near the top in these games).
We did play a game today where I went 28-and-11 (I got more than a quarter of the kills on our team). I feel unbeatable. But then I play a game where I got into a favorable position and we pulled away early. It's usually the position he's in and I spend the rest of the game acting like a human shield for him. It cripples my K/D (David mentioned this ratio earlier today) but it tends to lead to a victory. But this game, as I was in the favorable position, I expected him to be the human shield. He wasn't. And sure enough, soon the enemy team surpassed us and eventually defeated us. The next two games, I just unplugged my headset and played my own style and sure enough, I ended above him in the scores (he did quite poorly). I'm fucking tired of being his sidekick. I'm GOOD at this stuff, and I don't need anyone to act as my crutch.
