Jerry Jones is dumb, but most people should realize how tough it is to get deep into the NFL playoffs.
McCarthy had back to back 12 win teams, and ran into a buzzsaw of an SF defense. Dallas has 4 playoff wins since 2000 and McCarthy has one of them. Also, given how far Rodgers has fallen off, I think McCarthy should get credit for keeping Aaron in line for so long.
