It was accessible because it was an origin story. Hard to know which of the new stuff will be the same.

Though with them rebooting everything I would assume most would be close. Batman and Superman movies aside as most should know their origins already.

Supergirl sounds like an origin story for this Supergirl. It would be crazy to do The Authoritt and assume everyone was just familiar with them. Same is probably true to a lesser extent with Swamp Thing. But really, that Swamp Thing trailer would probably need to be fantastic to get people who aren't comic fans to buy a ticket.
