If I was a parent I'd tell my kids they have the day off and to go outside and play. One day here or there isn't going to ruin their school year. -- (edited)

When I heard schools were doing that I was annoyed and I don't have kids. Snow days are awesome and rather rare. Kids can use an unexpected day off just like the rest of us.
