In 1995 it was "Your father is okay but he's had a stroke and is in the hospital"
Today is "Your father is okay but he was hit by a car and is the trauma ICU"
Dad apparently stopped at McDonalds to use the restroom and a car going into or leaving the drive-through hit him. He doesn't really remember what happened (which seems normal, he hit his head) but he is alert. Alert enough to be yelling in the background "Tell him not to get on a plane and fly down here, I'm fine!"
Scans don't show any major issues. He did need staples in his head and they see a little bleeding on his brain so they are keeping him overnight to monitor him.
Suddenly I wish he was still stuck at home with COVID! (not really, but I need to wrap him in plastic wrap)
Prayers for a full and quick recovery appreciated.

Holy shit. Hope he recovers quickly. Rough couple of weeks. So many McD's have entrance doors literally 2 feet from the drive thru lane. Dangerous.
