Yeah, for me was really good for strength and flexibility, but you can still hurt yourself doing yoga, so if you have an existing injury, tell your instructor about it. If they’re halfway decent they’ll tell you what you need to modify, or at least not try and adjust/modify you when you’re doing things that might exacerbate it. If your neck’s an issue there’s probably some back bend and inversion stuff that’ll need modification if you’re doing like a standard power/flow yoga.
