2023 Super Bowl Gatorade odds, predictions: Orange and yellow favored, but maybe blue should be?

Betting on the Super Bowl Gatorade bath color is a fun, goofy prop, but little is actually known about how the flavor is picked — does the team’s equipment manager try to match it to team jerseys? Do players have a preference for a flavor they actually drink? What flavor is going to be dumped on Andy Reid or Nick Sirianni in the 2023 Super Bowl?
You can bet on everything under the sun regarding the Super Bowl. Many of the prop bets aren’t even related to the on the field action, including the color of the Gatorade shower that gets dumped on the winning coach. You can bet on that, and we have the odds for this year’s game.
We talked to a former Gatorade executive, who told us — under the promise of anonymity — that the Gatorade used in the winning bath is selected by… Gatorade. And it’s “intentionally randomized” to keep people guessing. In fact, there are up to “three coolers with different flavors” lined up for the players to grab and dump on their coach.
“Nobody can actually tell you what flavor it’ll be,” the former executive says. “The best guess they could give you is the two or three options.”

No Gatorade dump occurred in three of New England’s six championships this century was celebrated without a refreshing, electrolyte-loaded exclamation point. Maybe that’s just a Bill Belichick thing. The novelty of it probably wore off quickly.
Super Bowl Gatorade best bet
I honestly don’t believe that the Gatorade color has anything to do with the team color. It’s completely random which bucket gets grabbed and dumped on the coach. One thing that stands out is that clear/water hasn’t been used since 2008. My best guess is that the four preferred flavors on an NFL sideline are orange, lemon-lime, red and blue.
I’m going to bet on blue at +500. Orange and blue seem to be the two most popular choices, but I think the best bet is grabbing whatever of blue, orange and yellow has the best odds and letting it ride. There’s not much edge of being gained in this bet, similar to the coin toss.
What color do you think will be dumped on the winning head coach this weekend? Let us know in the comments.
