I don't know what's likely here. By state law. you have to yield to peds in crosswalk, even if no light/stop sign, I think.

"When a pedestrian is in a marked or unmarked crosswalk on the driver�s side of the roadway and there are no traffic control signals." for example, drivers must yield the right of way
