Yes. I would estimate, without any concrete evidence, that other than hurricanes 9/11 may be safer than other flying days, and hijacking risk is lower

Lower than it was in 2000. Not like there aren't instances where flights have to turn around because of crazy passengers, but, thinking like a terrorist, I think planes aren't the soft spot they used to be and ships are more likely targets now.
