In response to "What's the legal argument for different gender polygamy?" by musubi

Well, previously, it would have been that it didn't fit the Canadian definition of marriage, that being two people of opposite gender.

Today, the argument goes something along the line of, "We just changed the definition four years ago, so why not change it again?"

And in the end, there is no great reason to oppose multi-partner marriages. So long as everyone is consenting, I would imagine only a percentage of a percentage of marriages would end up like such.
