... but it's obviously not something that can be toned down with code. Heh.

It's basically schoolyard rules, which really sucks - and acting like a teacher would mean making the exact same mistake that teachers make when schoolyard rules apply (blaming the victim, punishing too broadly, etc).

And, putting people in a timeout box or whatnot would likely only cause the community, such as it is, to shrink even more.
