he'll be heading back home in another month or so and can buy more when he gets here.
I'm sorry to see what happened and that his insurance is craptastic for helping. That just sucks.
Also - I'm sure his injuries are long past needing to be iced for swelling or what not ... but if he finds that helps - try this:
Buy karo syrup - get a smaller zip lock baggie and a larger zip lock baggie. Put the syrup into the smaller one - seal it - put it inside the larger one - seal that - and freeze it. (the double bag just prevents a mess if it leaks)
It won't freeze totally solid - but that's good - because it will meld to where it hurts. Also - it doesn't feel super cold like other ice treatments - and lasts about 30 minutes.
then just toss it back into the freezer ... careful though that you don't put it on a rack where it melds around the bars and then you have to thaw it to get it out.
