That's not entirely true. The company isn't the value - it's the value of the specific Pops to the buyer, and the scarcity of it.

When it's a limited edition that is highly sought-after, then the value can continue to appreciate since some will get lost to time/trashed.
The "worthless-ness" of a lot of Pops is the seemingly unlimited number of those Pops. 1 of 100 or 1 of 1000 will hold at least some value, and will be way more valuable than 1 of 3,000,000 Grogu's.
