You'd have to include Spirit's "fees" in the ticket price comparison of course.

Not that I think this merger will lower prices of course, but you have to compare apples to apples.
I think DOJ wants more concessions or something than Jetblue/Spirit are currently offering. If Jetblue really wants this merger, they'll cough it up.
