Evanston started allowing beer and wine sales, with food, at a couple restaurants in the early 70's. A pizza place call The Spot sold the 1st

legal beer as I recall. Since then, laws have loosened to where now it's a veritable Pottersville to the Bedford Falls I grew up in.
Yes, both Temperance and FEW spirits are quality.
