How could expectations possibly be set too high?

I honestly doubt that anyone who truly supported Obama and read his plans expects him to be some sort of Gandolf the Grey, waving a staff and having everything magically fall into place. He doesn't even take office for close to 3 months. Right now I'm happy knowing that there is someone in office who understands we were duped into a faux war with a bunch of lies with a huge loss of life and a monetary cost in the billions. I'm thrilled that there is a person going into office who understands that people will take their last 20 bucks to buy generic amoxycillin for their sick baby, knowing they would have nothing but peanutbutter to eat for the next 3 days. He's a man who actually gets it--that bailing out a bank doesn't give them the liberty to give golden parachutes to execs and pay dividends to stockholders on the taxpayers dime. He's a better person than I'll ever be, I would run screaming from the problems he'll be dealing with even before he's sworn in. You're entitled to your cynicism, but it's not going to make you a very happy person. I like you and I admire your talents, but just as you have the right to be debbie downer, I'm going to have to exercise my rights to call you on it. Life's too short to ignore and disparage new beginnings. You make it hard to be your friend sometimes, but I'm not giving up on you yet. :)
