I suspect they are doing what Cambridge analytics did with facebook access, keep in mind they have citizen profiles of every chinese resident

and we've already heard about google and facebook handing over user data to police without warrants including women who were seeking abortion or other gynocological medical help in states where women's healthcare is getting to illegal
