In response to "sitwap - Bryan Cranston answers pixie on the rule changes -- (link)" by crash davis

The shift ban is fine and will lead to more hits and more offense. Some of the other rule changes seem like they might need to be rethought in the

future.

I don't understand why a pitcher can't throw to first/step off more than twice an at-bat. I know it slows things down but if there's a fast runner on he should be allowed to throw over and keep him close. That really hampers the pitcher's ability to control the base runners and puts him at a big disadvantage once he does use up his two throws/step-offs.
I think that may need to be adjusted in the future.
