My thought process on all the rules is that we are just comparing to a standard that is also made up. So yes, the stats will change but....

just compared to what we think they should be. Doesn't make it right or wrong, just different.
SO yes, there will probably be more steals than there used to be or more instances of runners being able to go from first to third because they got a jump.
So I suppose if you are a purist and are driven by the stats, then you are going to hate every change because it is going to be harder to compare players from eras. If you just like the game of baseball for what it is, then you are going to like the changes.
I for one, was tired of seemingly every at bat either being a strike out or a homerun. I like the ball in play and base runners putting pressure on defense. It's better to watch. So anything that does that more, I'm for it.
Also if they could put in some rules that made the Reds better, I would also support that.
