Is this like a shark-attack thing? are the number of derailments the same, just with more coverage, or are there actually a shocking number

of dangerous derailments lately?

I have no math or anything at all to back it up, but I think it's likely due to how dangerous the derailments have been lately with toxic chemicals

The railroads run by private companies are a complete mess. They don't invest in upgrades or even regular maintenance as that takes away profits. -- nm
