bought a spreader and pre-emergent and dumped a bunch on the yard. Wasn't very specific about the qty though I think I got it pretty close judging by the amount I used and the total sq. ft. the bag said it would cover.
Problems are many in the yard but between weeds, bare spots and uneven spots, I think I can handle two of those this year. Can't seed after pre-emergent so I think the next phase is to figure out a convenient way to start working on leveling out the uneven spots. I know it mostly involves a sand/soil mix and spreading it around. Yard is significantly sloped so getting the materials back there may be a challenge. I'd prefer not have a giant mound of stuff in the driveway for weeks but that may be the only option.
Summer will be about keeping it weed free so grass has the best chance to grow. Likely to also address bare spots front/side with patch kit I tried a bit of last year with success. Fall will be about seeding again hoping to get more growth for next spring.
