The plan hinges on returning to PPVs rather than airing the events on Peacock. Tony Khan was saying this last week before there was a deal.

As for the TV deals, they're in trouble since the market has retrenched over the past 12 months. They'd never earned enough viewers to justify the Fox deal anyway. At the time that was signed, the expectation was for 5 million. It's been 2 million. The hope is that two brands negotiating together will counteract that, but the brands share few similarities beyond the surface level. This way, Vince never has to admit that the next deal is worse than the previous one...or that he committed crimes.
