daughter's boyfriend (and roommate) at college was told by his parents (who are divorced/divorcing) that they have no $ to pay his outstanding bill for his upcoming semester of college. $8k hold on his account that apparently needs to be lifted by Tuesday for him to register, etc. He was just accepted into the pharmacy undergrad/grad program too.
