I had one of the wrong answers then reconsidered and switched to the right one. (spoilers)

I started with Venezuela, but then said to myself "Self, isn't Ecuador wedged between Colombia and Peru, so the equator must pass through one of them as it travels east?"
And Self said back: "Sure, but logically it could be Peru not Colombia that it passes through, and that's not on the Caribbean."
And I responded: "A good point, but you're overlooking the fact that Colombia extends further south than Venezuela, so it couldn't hit Venezuela without hitting Colombia unless the national boundaries go all non-Euclidean in the Amazon."
To which Self replied: "Excellent logicking. Go with Colombia then."
