One video I saw suggested that Putin's chairman of the joint chiefs is in line to succeed him.

When the CIA director visited him before the way and laid out Russia's war plan (which it's now clear we knew all along), the guy was gobsmacked (i.e. he had no idea what Putin was up to).

Bottom line: there's a very clear successor to Putin and he's no friend of Vlad's. So long as he stays away from any windows, Ukraine just needs to keep pushing until the inevitable happens.
