I'm a captain in the US Army in France at the end of WWII when a friend in Spain tells me that the Nazis are up to something and we should look into it. But no one's listening, so I go to the Pentagon and storm into the office of the Secretary of the Army, who's pushing papers for some reason, and demand additional resources, but he refuses, so I find a few mercenary friends and let them know, so they can take care of business. Because this is totally normal.
