a comedy set in this world could work. Someone wanders into the Hotel on vacation, finds a coin somewhere along the way to stay and hijinks occur

he's mistaken for killer after killer after each killer gets murdered inexplicably in front of him developing his own mythology as the Killer of Killers or something along those lines (could even work in JW complaints as lines "is everyone here a fucking assassin??!!" )
