For the IM I’d say it depends what their year on year revenue looked like. Plus tech companies can have weird valuations.

Like I when I joined the software company I used to work for they were ~$8 million/year revenue. When I left 4 years later they were around $30 million/year. They sold a year later for $1 billion.
So yeah, you tank that company at $20 million revenue in a big growth phase, a billion in damages isn’t unrealistic.
