my dad's parents had a big problem with my aunt's husband, who is Lebanese. As luck would have it,

he happened to be Catholic (Maronite). But my dad said his parents had issues with all kinds of ethic groups, even if they were Catholic ... Italian, Puerto Rican, Polish. Might have been interesting if she dated a Jewish guy.
