I doubled checked with FH to make sure that I wasn't hyper aware of it so there was at least two people at the festival who thought there was a definite number of mylar blanket wearing festival goers as the night got later.
This led to a distinctive crinkling background sound as well as to me it did look like a bunch of people impersonating foil wrapped baked potatoes.
I guess it's better than just being cold but the old man in me was just internally screaming: bring some clothes and store them in a locker. Course I'm so old man at this point that I'm doing that while wearing a thermal top over the T-shirt I wore in for the sunny part, jeans (it was cool enough in the day that it was the first time that I've ever walked onto the grounds in jeans, and THEN a hoodie over my T-shirt / Thermal.
Could also be that I considered the mylar blanket approach like 6-7 years ago (when I started going solo) and I kind of rejected as I thought it might be impractical and well...I didn't want to look like I was foil wrapped.
I think my impracticality concerns were justified as I watched wearers struggle to keep them wrapped around themselves as they walked but I absolutely will not be surprised that if there will actually be more mylar in the future given the convenience of carrying one in a pocket / bag
