I think we need to stop seeing everything as a success or a failure

It's science, it's messy. Sure they hoped it wouldn't explode, but it did. If you want to learn juggling eggs you're bound to break some eggs. It's annoying when they drop. But it's not a failure. It's also not a success that you learned something, not yet. It's a process.
Success or failure comes at the end. Everything in the middle is just how you get to one of these options.
