did I ever mention the time I sort of thought this might be happening to me?

I was occasionally the guy transporting gold from site, which is kind of fun. you load the gold, then watch the crew lock the cargo hold then get on the plane after everyone else and sit right at the front. when you land, you also get off the plane first, before even whoever's opening the door, unload the gold and get escorted into the terminal by airport security. Brinks meets you inside. before you get on the plane they give you names and photos of the guys picking the gold up. one time I get there, and the guys aren't who they're supposed to be. they're a bit weirdly jokey about it - "haha, change of plans mate, sorry about that!" and get their boss on their phone to confirm for me. I tell them he's just a meaningless voice on a phone for me, and I need to hear from my boss, but we can't reach him. they start to get a bit peevish. I'm delaying their other pickups, and everything's fine, this happens all the time. one of them jokes that they have the guns, so if they really wanted it not much I could do, haha! I just kind of stared at him and told him "not a fun joke to make right now."
eventually talked to my boss, and it was all fine, but it was a tense 15 minutes there while I waited.
