Puss in Boots: The Last Wish was very enjoyable. Kept me interested throughout.

While I’m a bigger fan of the Minions, I’ll admit that I fell asleep through their last romp. Puss in Boots had action from the start, a compelling story, interesting switches in animation style when it came to the action sequences, and it was funny. The voice talent was great and they didn’t need the stunt casting, but Florence Pugh and Olivia Coleman as Goldilocks and Mama Bear was great. As much as I enjoy John Mulaney, he was *awful* as Big Tom Thumb. The character had a lot of potential but the whole time he was on screen, all I could think about was “That’s John Mulaney. That’s John Mulaney.”
Even my kids who had seen it before were interested enough to watch it again. Worth it.
