I agree. It does raise a whole plethora of questions, both logistically and ethically. So much of the success of the show hinges on the character of Ronald. If he had made plans to collect his winnings from the Asian guy, it would have lessened the audience’s sympathy for him. It was Vanessa who said what you mentioned. She played a blinder. I hope and imagine some of the actors will get more lucrative work from this in the future. Both actors who played the fake couple were very good too. I think I’ll watch it again very soon.
