this is a message a girl I went to high school just sent me about my dad and baseball in the 1960's

So Dad is telling old baseball stories from back in the Day.. 1960s… he was telling a story about playing St. John’s caps… Dad was a catcher he was 5 foot seven and 135 pounds.. Robin Short, Caps player was 6’4 240lbs and was rounding 3rd like a beast! Dad thought he was gonna be killed! Lol.. Al Dwyer threw the ball home and Dad give it to Short right in the chops, dropped him, blood everywhere.. benches cleared and Dad said if it wasn’t for Beak's dad, he would have been killed.. Dad spoke very highly of Beak's dad… he was an accountant, soft spoken, and an incredibly nice man.

Dad played triple in Kentville, Nova Scotia in the 1950's and 60's when that meant something (like a step below the show kind of thing)
