Just to answer: No, did not go out or see the northern lights last night. Was very cloudy by us though my understanding is that it broke around

midnight so there were quite a lot of pictures from around us depending on cloud cover. Most I saw said it was hardly visible to the naked eye but you could photograph it.
So, lots of pics I'm seeing but we didn't go try to catch it due to the clouds. It is an interesting conundrum if you can only see it through your camera. :)
