darted under the plywood fence across the street (on empty land about to be developed) and dropped the, clearly dead, squirrel as it went under. Then i saw the fox stick its little head back through the hole at the bottom of the fence and drag the squirrel through.

i looked around and there was no one else in sight.
i was the only one to see it.
