Basically everything you said is true, and it worries me. I'm afraid he's going to convince himself that without the drugs he can't be funny. I think he just needs to give himself permission to be funny. And there's no way that would be as easy as it sounds, because it's like being haunted by demons. The four horsemen of self destruction: self-doubt, self-loathing, self-neglect, and Keith Richards.
