I agree with Shak? though about the definition of failure when it comes to sports. If you’re expected to win, or at least have a very good chance to win, not doing so, when the single overriding objective is to win, can only be viewed as a failure.
In the broader sense, when applied to life outside of sports, no one’s year can be viewed as a failure, as there are many parameters defining success, and many smaller successes interspersed with failures along the way.
Seems like a great sports show.
