there is, in the past their response was "if its not in the system then it doesnt exist" so I just book it and deal with the consequences

essentially a nasty gram email explaining the corporate policy and then asking why I ignored that.
I get that a lot, as I try to pick hotels near to clients, and not you know, by the Airport which is the preferred hotels per that same service.
