I bought and AtoZ and used it alot. Used the tube map and picked up another transit map that also had the trains on it too.

At one point I walked up to a bobby with the AtoZ, pointed to a page and asked him how to get there. The bobbies were very nice and thankfully didn't laugh at me too much.
And the streets of London are a mess. We don't realize how good we've got it here with odds on one side and evens on the other and they mostly run up from one point.
