electric car between about 5 and 10 pm it's probably worse than driving a gas car.

even if it was 100% coal generated, there's still the 20% vs 85-95% efficiency gap.

I'm just talking CO2 emissions from driving. once your emissions/kwh for generation goes over about 500 you start hitting the break even point.
