They're just repeating what he's saying. I don't see anything where they spoke with someone at Nissan or a dealer that confirms what he's saying.

I looked up the cost of the batteries and none of them cost $19k. The newest battery which is only for the newest model costs $10k.
His car is 7 years old so uses a different battery and as I posted above, it's about $3-4k.
